Nigeria reaffirms its renewables target of achieving 30 GW by 2030

Nigeria has reiterated its commitment to achieving 30 GW by 2030 with 30% renewable energy. 

At the seventh Nigeria Energy Forum held on July 25, Minister of State for Power Goddy Jedy-Agba said that government of Nigeria has worked with German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) under the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP), funded by European Union, to map out their blueprint for renewable vision platform. This is to serve as a hub for data-driven electrification planning and implementation.
