
Chaeyoung Hyun
Chaeyoung Hyun is the Energy Diplomacy Lead at Solutions for Our Climate (SFOC), where she manages partnerships and builds networks with domestic and international stakeholders to advance energy diplomacy. Prior to leading SFOC's energy diplomacy work, she focused on shipping diplomacy, closely monitoring negotiations at the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Before joining SFOC, Chaeyoung was actively involved in a range of domestic and international youth initiatives on climate and environmental issues. In 2023, she served as an Energy Fellow with the Climate Champions Team in partnership with the UNFCCC, contributing a youth perspective to efforts advancing the global energy transition and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Chaeyoung studied Global Governance and Environmental Policy at Waseda University in Japan.
