As the global push toward net zero emissions continues, demand for renewable electricity is rising further amid the rapid expansion of AI applications. Against this backdrop, Century Wind Power, Taiwan’s leading offshore wind foundation manufacturer, completed its transition from emerging stock status to a primary listing on March 26.

In an interview with RECCESSARY, newly appointed President Yu Chun-wei (余俊緯) outlined the company’s next stage of development, including plans for international expansion and ambitions to enter sectors such as floating offshore wind, nuclear energy and hydrogen related equipment manufacturing.

Unlock this interview to learn three key takeaways:

  1. Century Wind Power has secured orders for more than 300 offshore wind foundations through 2030, with supplier selection for Round 3.3 expected to conclude by the end of 2026.
  2. Despite the phaseout of localization requirements, Century Wind Power remains optimistic about offshore wind opportunities in Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines and Australia.
  3. Leveraging the geographic advantages of Taipei Port and a workforce of more than 100 highly skilled welders, Century Wind Power is targeting opportunities in hydrogen and nuclear energy, aiming to transform into a comprehensive energy equipment manufacturer by 2035.
