Atlas Renewable Energy acquires wind farm in Brazil from Voltalia

US-based clean energy company Atlas Renewable Energy has acquired Juramento, a 378MW wind farm in Minas Gerais, Brazil, from Voltalia, a French energy corporation.

The Juramento farm, which is Atlas Renewable Energy’s first wind farm in Brazil, consists of 63 wind turbines with the capacity to generate 1,650 GWh of clean electricity per year, enough to power nearly 800,000 local households. Furthermore, the facility is capable of offsetting about 123,750 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
