Ineos and Eneco have agreed a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for more than 65 MW from the SeaMade offshore wind farm off Belgium. The contract will begin in 2022 and will provide 250 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year.

The new deal covers around 13.5% of SeaMade's output and will save Ineos an additional 940,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide over the course of the contract. The electricity will be used to support Ineos' Olefins and Polymers, Inovyn, and Styrolution companies, allowing the latter to switch its German assets to green power beginning in January 2022.
