Microsoft Chile inks PPA with AES Andes to power data center with 100% renewables

Microsoft Chile announced that it has signed a renewable power purchase agreement (PPA) with Chilean electricity provider AES Andes S.A., allowing customers to cut their carbon footprint while speeding up their digitization.

The agreement is part of the Microsoft’s Transforma Chile’s #ReactivaciónDigital plan, under which its data center announced in December will run entirely on wind and solar energy.
