Japanese renewable energy developer, Shizen Energy, via its Malaysian subsidiary, has inked a second long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Malaysia’s Top Glove Corporation for a 10 MWp rooftop solar power array.

Under the deal, Shizen Malaysia will install the photovoltaic (PV) plant on the rooftops of the rubber glove manufacturer’s factories in Peninsular Malaysia.

The project will contribute to cutting Top Glove’s average electricity cost while minimizing its carbon footprint by supplying clean, cost-competitive renewable energy from this rooftop solar power plant to the factory.
