Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE ) opened UK's first industrial-scale carbon capture plant, which will recycle 40,000 tonnes of waste CO2 each year, equivalent of taking more than 20,000 cars off the roads.

The facility was built with an investment of US$ 24.5 million. According to BBC, a TCE spokesman described the plant as "a key milestone in the race to meet the UK's net zero targets" by 2050.
