Tencent pledges carbon neutrality across operations and supply chain by 2030

Chinese tech giant Tencent announced on Thursday that it plans to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations and supply chain by the end of the decade.

Tencent’s operations span from the messaging app WeChat to games and cloud-based services, which will all be powered by renewable energy by 2030. The company also stated that it sought to cut energy usage per unit of output and increase the use of green power in its operations.
