The rise of green industrial parks in Vietnam is driving cross-border renewable energy deployment.
Thailand-based energy solutions provider Banpu Next announced on Nov. 4 that it has deepened its partnership with Vietnam’s leading solar developer SolarBK, and is jointly working with Thai industrial land developer Amata to install rooftop solar systems for companies located in the Long Thanh and Halong industrial parks. The project has a planned installed capacity of around 227 MW, with construction expected to begin early next year.

According to Banpu Next, the collaboration expands on the companies’ established partnership and aligns with Vietnam’s climate goals and its latest national power development plan (PDP8). The initiative aims to support rising electricity demand, enhance energy security, and strengthen Vietnam’s sustainable development agenda.
