Thailand’s renewable energy expansion and accelerating electrification are drawing clean energy companies from across the region to Bangkok.

Asia Sustainable Energy Week (ASEW), held in Bangkok from July 1 to 3, brought together more than 350 exhibitors across solar development, battery storage, grid equipment, EV charging infrastructure, and data center energy solutions. Chinese companies had the strongest presence on the show floor, while Taiwanese firms used the event to assess how Thailand’s clean energy market is taking shape.

For many Taiwanese exhibitors, ASEW was less about showcasing hardware than gathering market intelligence, identifying local partners, and testing demand across emerging segments such as electric fleets, rooftop solar, microgrids, and data center power systems.

Unlock the full article to explore three key takeaways:

  1. Taiwanese and Thai companies including AcBel Polytech, Neopower Technologies, URECO, and Delta Electronics Thailand used the event to test demand in renewable energy supply chains, electric bus charging, microgrids, and data center power.
  2. Thai players such as Bangkok Solar Power and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority focused on deployment opportunities in rooftop solar, where market growth remains closely tied to policy direction and utility coordination.
  3. Chinese companies including BYD Energy Storage, Solis, and Huawei showed the strongest presence, expanding across residential storage, solar-plus-storage, and integrated data center infrastructure.
